Standing Seam Metal Roofing
Standing Seam Metal Roofing in Texas
Standing seam roofs are made of long metal panels that often run in one piece from the eave to the ridge. Where two panels meet, their edges are raised and joined into a seam that stands above the flat of the roof, keeping the joint up out of the water running down it.
The panels are held down by clips hidden under the seams rather than by screws through the face of the panel, as on an exposed-fastener R-panel roof. The clips allow the panels to expand and contract, and they leave far fewer holes in the metal.
Standing seam can still leak, typically at the trim, at panel ends, or where pipes, vents and skylights come through. We repair, replace and install standing seam roofs on homes and commercial buildings.
